ROUND 3 – REGIONAL MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP – DIRT BRONCO 08/05/2010
The Pro Action KTM Motocross Team had good results at the third round of the Full Throttle Northern Regions Motocross Championship held at the Dirt Bronco track outside Krugersdorp
Ian could unfortunately not ride due to a bout of flu so it was up to the young guns to fly the flag and they did not disappoint.
In the MX2A class there was the usual bunch of 250 two-stroke machines to contend with but the racing was ultra-competitive. Levi washed out in the first heat and came from behind to finish 14th. Despite having poor gate picks, in the second heat he rode more consistently to claim his first top ten placing in the MX2A class this season. This also moved him up to 11th overall in the championship thus far.
In the premier MX1 class Johann also rode consistently well in both heats to claim a 5th and 6th place respectively. He had lots of pressure from some of the other contenders but held them off with skilled and determined riding. Johann’s consistent performances has moved him into second place in the championship behind another KTM machine, that of Estefan du Plessis. It is truly great to see the two top positions in the MX1 championship occupied by orange bikes.
The next regional is in Pietersburg scheduled for the 22nd of May and considering the youngsters improvement we are looking forward to even better results for the Pro Action KTM Motocross Team.
